Custom motorcycles, hot rods, skate, art, music, movies, whatever...

Today I got some new pictures from Johnny. They are shot outside his shop and now you can see the bike from a better angle.
Please consider that some details are only temporary for the rawbuild. Hand and foot controls for example.
And maybe we will reshape the bend of the front exhaust pipe a little bit for a nicer curve.

But the next step is to get the motor running. We hope there are no bad surprises waiting for us, because we know just little about this engine. I bought it "fresh overhauled" from the USA.
And that was a strange experience indeed.
I found this motor on ebay/US. Posted by a guy from Florida, saying that he owns a motorcycle shop and that he freshly overhauled this motor for his personal use. But he needs money so he has to sell, fixed price.
Well, I thought this could be a good chance to get a nice ironhead finally, because others I bought have been pretty fucked up.
I did send a request about conditions for shipping to Germany. His reply was very "special".
It was full of insults and slander.
Basic message was: He will not sell valuable american steel to theebola monkey countries over there in Europe(he actually did use this expression). All people from europe are crooks, trying to steal what belongs to the proud american worker!
After beeing surprised first and wondering how he has been misguided to this belief, I determined that I wanted this motor more than ever.
In a phone call I did persuade my friend Gorilla Bob from West Palm Beach to check out the seller and the motor. His report was positive and so I asked him to buy it.
Couple of hours later I was the proud ebola monkey crook who owned it.
It took another 4 month full of logistic problems to get it to Germany and since than it has been waiting in my store to be used for a project.
Well, soon we will know how valuable his proud work on this american steel was.
