Hey Ray, what's happening?
We're havin' a great summer over here! ( well, it's raining right now, but still the summer is all right!)
Haven't spend much time on the blog lately, to bad! I'm way to busy to do anything on the computer. Did some re-design on my Garage-bar and made a very cool ( I think) Lucha Libre corner in it. Framed one of my guitars and some huge pictures from me and my buddys to and still there's enough place to wrench and place my chopper. Keep up the good work on you blog man, you guys are sure having fun over there!

Say Hi to everybody!

Cheers, Sik

Hey Daddy Frisco, how are ya my man!! Cool to see you back on the blog! Everything fine with you? Here it's deep, cold winter man. And the weather forecast is very bad for the up commin' weekend; snow, snow and freezin cold!
Man, I wish it was summer again!!
Bought me a new computer. To bad, hate to spend my money on anything else but sickle parts hahahahaha!!
I'll link your blog on my blog if that's allright with you.
Take care buddy!!

Ray, awesome bike! Love everything about the tank especially the paint, but what up with the shape...hand made, modified or out of the box?

Brother Ray,

Thanks for the information! Yeah, those are some wicked cool bars and I am sure it would be difficult to duplicate all the angles and curvatures even for someone who is skilled. Impossible for a monkey like me... Still, 'IF' I try to fab up some bars they will be inspired by your short stacks, as seeing them on your bike really shows them in a great overall context. I had noticed that you chopped your risers and as I looked carefully and considered why you had done that, I realized the importance of getting the height of the risers RIGHT to make them work. I still don't have any pictures of my bike in its current form, but when I get some I will post them and let you know so that you can have a look. I have purchased a DNA springer front end, a 2.2 gallon mustang style gas tank as well as an old wassell 2 gallon tank, and I am working on a rear fender that I narrowed and tightened the radius on. I plan to get it put together over this winter.

Thanks again and I hope you are having a great day in Brunei!

Your buddy in Oklahoma USA,

Steve

Ray,

Oh yeah, I also am curious about the distance between the upright portion of the bars at both the top and bottom of the bars. I believe the bottom measurement is 6 1/2 inches, possibly about 9 inches overall, but knowing the separation at the top would be very helpful.

Thanks Again,
Steve

Ray,

How's it going, Cousin? If you don't mind I have a couple of questions for you. I noticed that you cut your risers when you put on the RSD handlebars. How tall were they (to the center of the bars) before you cut them and how tall are they now? Also, how thick is the gusset with the speed holes, metric or fractional inches? And one more, how much pullback is there perpendicular to the front of the bars? I am thinking about trying to fabricate some bars similar to yours as I cannot afford to buy them. Since I don't have access to examine any myself and since you are the only person I know who has them I am taking the liberty of asking you these questions.

Thanks,

Ray,

You are now my first official "friend" here at Choppertown Nation! Thanks for the invitation, which I accept without reservation, although I will confess that I feel a little awkward about asking folks to befriend me. I really enjoy this website ALOT and I have been able to see aspects of our world that otherwise would have remained unknown to me. In honesty, I did not know where Brunei Darusallam was until after I came upon your page here, which inspired an enquiry on my part. I read the Wikipedia article about B.D., so I have become a bit more aware of our world's geography and cultures as well. Thanks again for the invite to friendship. I would like to think I am friends with everybody except the buttheads, and who wants to be friends with them, anyhow? The international aspect of this website wasn't anticipated by me when I encountered it, but it is one of the coolest 'discoveries' I have made here.

Owning a soft tail myself I am particularly interested in seeing what others have done with theirs. Interestingly, the coolest soft tail mods that I have seen have been in countries other than the USA. Now I need to get techno-sophisticated enough to get some pictures of me and mine on-line and reciprocate the favor you and others have done. By the way, your photographs are a 'step above' (to say the least) and I really enjoy them!!!
