"You don't have to pay GST but you sign a paper with Customs so that if you sell it within 2 years you have to pay the tax back. Cheers Jon"

"Hey Dave. If its registered its a piece of piss. If not you'll have to get a cert. That's between $300 and $700. I have a few good contacts through thre Greasmonkey Forum. Check it out. http://greasemonkeys-nz.forumotion.net/ Cheers Jon"

In other word we are not bringing them out to sell if that makes a difference on import taxes etc??

Thanks for that, the plan is to have my bike finish and registered on the road here in the UK so i can get a few rides out of it here before leaving, so your saying if i do that I wont have to get it certed in NZ. If thats right then does the UK liecence plate stay with the bike out in NZ. It will be a pretty modified bike so was just worried that they would make me get it certed??
Also am looking at bringing 3 other Harley chops that a mate has made which are all built from scratch, his are already all on the road and registered in the UK.
Sorry to fire all these questions at you, just thought it would be better asking someone out there! Will have a look at the grease monkey forum too.
Chers
Dave
