Wowo... May I ask how old r u? at that time I'm not born yet ...I live in Kaohsiung city of South of Tiawan, my city different Taipei, here weather hot and people also hot.. so do u have chance visit taiwan again..I willing show you around to my city and my bike life for you ......^_^
good to know you're doing some homework Steve, yeah and i wish i could get it lower down to the tripple trees, but to fabricate something from my own mind is roughly impossible as i dont own any machine and have to get it done in the machine shop is quite a hassle, plus they just can never get my vision out right, i was actually trying to fab a top plate for the trees with a single style riser clamp for the bars to sit on, but just couldnt get a good machinist to work on it....so that sucked, hahah
btw, i chopped the risers only because it looks weird having a short stack bars but with a tall riser, maybe because the RSD bars has a slightly weird dimensions to it, so, i cant really say what sorta dimensions, calculations, degrees of the bars, it looks simple from the photographs but in reality roland sands has got a very twisted engineering mind when he design those hahahah, trust me, you need to see it in realtime to understand me, even the rise on the bars has a slight curve, you think you know how the curves goes when you see it from the front view, but your eyes is just lying, especially when you see the bars from the side view, then you notice that there's a different curve, so....dimension wise, i really dont know, but whatever it is, those are strong bars, dropped my bike hard lat year, hit the bars....not even a crack or bent.
hi, there, the original height is 4" and now it's cut down to 2" of the rise, the pull backs i'm not sure about but it's all in the adjustments of how far forward you want to go, running on a forward control or a mid control setup will help on deciding which position helps( ur back ), bars are 1" diameter, my setups are a little more of a force fit, but since those risers are aluminum, they are easily slightly dent intentionally just to fit the corners of the bars, everything is custom fitted, no easy shortcuts sometimes, the effort and determinations what counts...feel free to ask any questions, thanks brother!
