The bike is titled as a 57 HD. The cases themselves appear to be early 70's that are beefed up and them machined to accept the panhead cylinders and best guess panhead fly wheel. The bike history is fun and long story but it was built for MaryJayne Casey by her husband Larue Casey (known as Bug) and he started building it back in 1972 as a gift for her for having their son. They owned a bike shop called Casey's Custom Cycles out of Clay City, KY from 1969 until 2001. The Late Ron Trock and Casey were friends and did collaborate on this bike. Casey passed away in 1983 from brain cancer and we were told by MaryJayne that this was the first Panster built back then because Casey was told it could not be done. In 1987 four years after Casey passed away MaryJayne (married a no good son of a Bitch (Bob Ward) thats what she calls him who during a trip to Daytona took credit on the bike in an EasyRider story (August 1987) that was published on the Panster. It was called Panster Surprise. Anyway after the story came out in August this guy Bob Ward was busted for trying to sell Cocaine to a cop in Lexington, KY and the bike ended up being sold to pay off lawyers. After we purchased the bike I came across the history by accident after posting pictures on choppertown nation and (Roach a choppertown member)

had remembered that it had been in an early Easyrider Article so I called Easyrider and they had told me they had only done one article on a Panster back in August of 1987. After reading that edition of Easyrider I did some research and managed to contact MaryJayne. She is quite the lady and knows all the mechanics and history on this bike. My husband is still working a few things out on the bike but WOW it is a beast to run and I am loving it. The original paint on the bike was Brandywine with lots of flowers on it and when we picked this bike up someone had done a black rattle can job over the original color so we had our friend Tuki (Tuki's Custom Paint in Martinsburg, W.Va.) do the paint for us and he did an awesome job. We had Tuki paint one flower on the rear fender in honor of MaryJayne and Casey. There are a lot of original parts still on the bike including the seat and side cover machining.
