Really,..three tracks,..wood tracks?,..I know they had a dirt track called "Bennings" I think

I have been working on the project for many years,I have boxes of notes, photo's,newspaper articles,letters,etc,..putting it all together with the help on some people who are good at that sort of thing as I love researching and gathering the information but not much of a writer, soon i hope a few Motorcycle related publications will print some short articles on this subject,Also I have a friend who works at my local TV station and they also do documentry's though I still have to come up with some funding they are helping me to find a Grant. If you know of anyone who would like to help or has photo's,literature, etc please let me know.

Also working on the connection between the FAM and Motordrome racing Rules,I have an entire chapter on the FAM,still missing a few area's regarding the FAM,looking for FAM info as well

thank again I enjoy your blog

Scott, Great to see that someone is doing a documentary. This image is now in public domain so its everyones to use. As I recall (and I don't recall much) there were three tracks in Maryland. Laurel was a boardtrack, the other two were motordromes and I make the distinction because thats how they were discribed to me from the people I knew who rode them. Most eveything I had including the glass plates were sold about ten years ago to a collector in Europe. I scanned what I could and the images posted here are what could be salvaged from a hard drive crash a few years ago. How did you end up owning the Indian photo?

Craig,

I am involved in a  research project On American Motordromes and Board Track Racing for a Historical Documentary. I was wondering if it would be ok to use this photo?, I never could verify 100% that Maryland had a Board Track,...do you have further documention about this Board Track?

I am currently researching the Valisburg Motordrome in Newark NJ,was wondering if you have any info that could help?,...or any other info regarding other tracks, photo's,locations, etc. I currently have a list of 30 Motordromes,...Once project is complete I will be posting on my website

thanks again!
