I never heard of those. I thought at first it might be an old Sunbeam, but I could not remember which side their driveshaft was on. Very nice looking old scooter! What make and model is the petrol tank?

It`s not a BMW.It`s called AWO 425 after the second world the russians tooked the rigths of the" Simsons factory Suhl" wich was in east germany.They said to the east german ingenieurs to build a motorcycle for the east wich has to be similar to the BMW R24.So the fabrication is nearly the same but the price isn`t so high you can get in a unrestaured condition for 3000 dollar I think...but a good basic to build a real oldschooler my cycle is builded in 1955....

Allways wanted to see one of these BMW singles bobbed!!! But they are rare over here!!!   Looks good so far!!
