Pretty much any local Rockabilly band playing some shitty club where PBR goes for a buck is going to be a good use of your time...Some of my favorites here in the Seattle area are The Black Crabs and the Hard Money Saints. Also Redneck Girlfriend, they are one of those bands that sounds good on CD but 100% better in person. Lets see...Also dig the Hillbilly Hellcats, I think they are out of Colorado. Of course Devil Doll, from Texas.

The list goes on and on I guess. One thing I really like about Rockabilly is the energy and attitude, you just don't get that from the "big" bands managed by the "real" record companies.....Down side is that its hard to make a go of it on the local scene, not much $$$ to be made, so go support your local bands!
SWEET--Thanx for the input! Any links to bands you listed? I am a big fan already of Hillbilly Hellcats--their stuff is funny as hell!

Redneck Girlfriend is on MySpace, but for some reason MySpace is crashing my computer at the moment.

Obviously these guys aren't playing anymore, but Sun Records has some really good CD collections of early rockabilly from Memphis in their store...I listen to a LOT of early rockabilly on the old I-pod.

Finally, theres a college station here in Seattle that has a really good Rockabilly show on Friday nights called Shake the Shack, you can listen to it streaming from thei website, its got everything from 50's stuff through current bands, great show. Heres the link for that.
