Hi All,

I have an old 1972 CB750 SOHC I have been told is an Uncle Bunts build...  I've had it for about 15 years now and its my pride and joy.  I restored it myself after finding it in a garden, where it had been for a number of years... built in a shed and painted in the garden..  and it has won a few prizes so I guess I didnt do too bad a job on it.

It is a beautiful old ride although a handful and I think it would have been a very early one.  It hasnt been  hacked around and I have taken care not to change anything major as it is a lovely piece of classic bike building, Bunts or not...

I have replaced a bit of the chrome with stainless copies, added a bit to the sissy bar  for practicality, changed the door for the battery box and added a backrest to the sprung seat as I am a bit broken myself..

Reading the posts on here I can confirm the smooth bronze welds but the frame number isnt as described so are there any other things I could look for?

The wheels are white powder coated yamaha casts not wires, electrics box is an old custom chrome one (it had the stickers inside until I had to get it re-chromed 12  years ago), front end appears to have been based on an old honda off roader, front brake used to be a rear disc set up (probably Honda).  I got it with a mustang tank but it may have had a red sporty tank at some stage, I was told.  Rear brake is a laced hub with drum. Oil tank has been hand made for it.  Finishing details are excellent and well thought out.  By the look of the undercoats it started life in this guise as a bright red metallic with the white wheels

Any advice or info would be great..
