71 Bonneville 650, just got new slim levers put them on got everything hooked back up and it kicks through like the clutch is engaged. undo the clutch cable all the way still kicks through. the arm which the cable connects to isn't bound up and the cable has slack in it. yes it was in neutral. i have no clue whats going on. hopefully someone had this same problem and im simply overseeing something simple.

You may have to make a bushing to take up the slack. Have you re adjusted the clutch? How much slack is in the cable?
the cable only has slack in it cause i undone the cable from the lever thinking that may have been the cause of the clutch being engaged. if hooked back up the cable doesnt have slack.
check your clutch centre hasnt come apart .the cush drive plate screws can come out, they did on my beeza ,just got home with a slipping clutch.i ended up putting m6 counter sunk bolts right through .still holding eight years latter no prob.maybe this will help mate.
