Choppertown Nation - Online Community for Backyard Builders

Custom motorcycles, hot rods, skate, art, music, movies, whatever...

When I was a kid in the early seventies I had a couple of awesome posters tacked to my wall of skeletons standing next to or riding choppers. These were full color photographs and with a very 70s style coolness. :)

But now I just cant seem to find any anywhere ! :o
I have managed to find almost all the lost gems from my childhood (Aurora, Roth and Tom Daniel kits, stickers, posters, "Nutty Mads", old Skateboarder Magazine issues and so on) online on sites and auctions.
But nowhere even a glimpse of these ultracool skeletons-on-choppers-posters ! :o

So Im reaching out to the ´Nation for help.
High res pix or scans would make my day and beyond. :D
Help me on my quest to find The Lost Skeletons of Posterdom.

Not really.
The ones Im referring to were photos that had that cool 70s tint to the colors. The one I can remember most clearly had a skeleton with a long scarf leaning against the sissybar.
We are talking like 35 years ago so my memory isnt crystal clear on the subject. ;)
But they were way cool! :D

But this one was super cool! :D
Is it "Glow-In-The-Dark" ? :)
That one is awesome ! Blacklight posters are so cool! :D

But again...no, not the ones Im looking for.
Thanx yall for helping me try to solve this mystery. :)
i'v not got it but i remember a poster of a BSA rocket3 70's chop with a skeleton on it, could that be the one, if so it may still be out there as i'm sure i'v seen it recently but cant remember were, pete
That could be it ! Getting closer. Thanx Mate ! :D
There is a famous Grateful Dead poster with two skeletons on choppers riding across the Brooklyn (maybe Golden Gate) Bridge. It is circa 1971 (I think). Also, the uncle Sam Skelly that is riding a chopper at the intro to the Grateful Dead Movie. Maybe it was one of those?- Chuck
Gotta check those out. :)
But no. Thats not it. Thanx anyway. :D
OK Heres is how I remember one of the two posters I had;

The picture is taken at ground level in the grass, looking upwards at the chopper that is seen from the rear with the back tire closest at a slight angle with the rest of the bike visible towards the left.
It has high sixties syle sissybar.
The bike might be brown, gold or dark yellow.
Leaning against its midsection or sissybar is a skeleton wich might have had a long scarf draped around its neck and shoulders

Thats the one I remember most clearly, but still, I had it in 1973-1977 circa. So there have been some water under the bridges since.

Ill make a rough sketch of it and post. :)
