Peterson Automotive Museum vs. Wally Parks NHRA Museum

Hello,
We're going to check out the Ink- N- Iron Festival in Long Beach, Ca. on 6/7/09 and wanted to check out either the Wally Parks NHRA Museum or the Petersen Automotive Museum on Sat. 6/6/09. Anyone been to either and have any recomendations? (Love hot rods and custom cars) Thanks.

I've been to both many times. I'll tell you, it's really a tossup. They're both reall good places

If you haven't been to either before, I'd go to the Peterson. Then you can walk down a few blocks and se the La Brea tarpits afterwards. Then, you can head up Fairfax from the Peterson to Sunset, mak a left on Sunset, and go down Sunset a ways, and you can eat at Carney's.
Or Barney's? Or is there a new place called Carney's? Maybe Barney's is on Santa Monica. Barney's Beanery is what I'm talking about, it's near there. :^P
I havn't been to Wally Parks, gotta go, Peterson's great and like Rich said you can go down to Sunset and watch the freaks! Though they're not there any more.
Yeah, Carney's is a new place. They put it in in 1970, HAHA!. There's a carney's in Studio City, too.

And, yes, Barney's Beanery is on Santa Monica, a good place. But, they screwed the table that Janis Joplin carved her name in up on the ceiling now.
Thanks for the advice Irish Rich and nofiron. Peterson and Sunset it is then!
