Greetings from central Alabama. I guess I should introduce myself. I'm David LaMar Morrill, former AMA 250GP and Battle of Twins roadracer way basck when, bike builder sot of , and author.

Don't do much modern stuff anymore. My current long term project is a 1921 Harley-Davidson Model J blanked off twin boardtack racer. It's half a 1000cc V twin in a Keystone boardtrack racing frame. If there are any board track fans here, I recently wrote an article on early Birmingham board & dirt track racer Gene Walker. For those who don't know, Gene was one of the top racers of the teens and twenties, and was killed in a racing accident in 1924. He set the first official motorcycle land speed record on the sands of Daytona Beach in 1920. The article is is up on Paul d' Orleans Vintagent blog:

I'll get some photos of my boardtracker up, when I get the motor back in the frame. The crank has been on a stateside tour to get reconfigured for the racing frame, and should be back Monday.

Later,

David
