Permalink Reply by Peter Ström on February 10, 2012 at 11:25pm Calles Chopperdelar Sweden built the frame according to my specs. My friend Kenta, who owns Ace Performance, helped me with fabrication at his shop. That's where we built it together."
Having grown tired of people commenting that "Sportsters are for girls," Peter said, "I’ve come across this ignorance when I was building my Sportster Chopper. I wanted to show that I could build a good looking bike from a Sportster. Often I was asked why I didn’t build a real bike! But I think my bike is more real and handles better than many big twins. The bike is great, smooth to ride, easy to handle, fast, and very reliable."

Permalink Reply by Lutz (no saint) on February 7, 2012 at 12:51am This build was finished May 2011. Some guys here on the nation know about the history. It was ment to become a daily ride, but because of the positive reactions about it, it was registered for some bike contests last year.
Unfortunately it never made it to one of the shows. After only 30 miles testriding it was crashed by a car.
I thought it would be funny somehow to present it post mortem to this contest. So I maybe can get a little bit of that feeling I was looking for.
Anyway- this machine will be rebuild hopefully soon.
1957 Sportster frame with bolt on hardtail section, 62 Ironhead engine, Edelbrock carb,
21" front and rear, old style springer, almost every part is custom made or one of a kind.

This is my pure garage built sporty, myself and a friend built this over a period of 3 months or so. We started out with a flyrite frame, and then I bought a motor from a salvage yard in OH, by this time I was out of cash but not hope, My friend works at a HD dealership, so every few days I would hit the dumpster to gathering used tires, old exhaust, wrecked handlebars and anything else that we thought we could make work,(those bagger guys throw away alot of good shit). I like the brass, so I fab a tail light from a old dinner bell, carb cover is a candle holder and a few other brass pieces. paint is rattle can, seat is hand pounded sheet metal w/some tandy leather. cheap swap meet tank welded up to frisco, grips from a rototiller, my sons old bmx pedals for pegs, rims were pieced together from many others and the springer was a gift from God himself. Although she"s a little rough around the edges she runs smooth and swift and has always got me home. I named her loco pony and she's all mine. Thanks bill
Builded this scoot last year.. In the late 70's Denver's style wich I am a fan of since I was 12 or so.. Homemade Single downtube frame, (45° rake, 5" downtube stretch, 2" backbone stretch, 1.5" shorter rear section, chromed top motor mount bracket and chromed center post and brake crossover), 2.75 x 21 NOS Avon front tire on 1.50" dunlop rim,12" over narrow (41mm) glide, modified axed tank, homemade sissy bar, homemade drag pipes, homemade handlebar, '66 shovel + 4-speed with Jockey shift, etc...

This is my build, my first bike build actually, it started out with a 6”up 4” out Santee frame. I cut the rear frame legs from the back bone and bent some material to make a dropped seat section. Next came a front end from Denvers Choppers followed by a set of Weld Racing wheels. It sat in my living room as a roller for awhile. The project then moved into the basement where I made the rest. The fab work really took off once I dropped the 68 Shovel in the frame. Majority of parts were made in my basement ex; tanks, foot controls, and bars. Also has a kick only baker 6 speed and Twisted Choppers exhaust. I feel it’s a “purpose built” bike, hence the name “SKANK BANGER”. There is no middle ground with this bike, people either love it or hate it..But surprisingly the chicks dig it!!!
FUCKIN57 – is a real hardcore bike and was built winter 2009/10 at the backyard of www.gangstacycyles.de. Presently the bike has more than 6.300 miles. Starts all with an original late 1957 HD straightleg frame and ends with more 300h in 6 months after lots of unknown problems.
Original HD drivetrain was taken off from a 1984 shovelhead Wide-Glide. Complete 10” shortened front end came off a TC88 Night Train with a front 11,5” OEM HD brake caliper. In the back turns aluminum 15” Ricks wheel with an ISR brake caliper. All Goodridge hydraulic lines are inside the ape hanger. Since last year a new 80cui S&S stroker shovelhead works inside. The 1984 HD tranny works still without any problems and inside the HD primary turns an 8mm BDL belt drive with a heavy duty BDL clutch. Carb is still the old Keihin, but will be replaced by a CV carb in the next few weeks.
Exhaust pipes, seat and the back fender made by Gangsta Cycles. 3,5 gal fat bob fuel tank with original 2-light dash panel. Most parts are powder coated. Tank and fender paintjob & pinstripes made by WildAirHoerby.

BrujaNegra – is a real bad ass! I bought this bike end of summer 2009 and clean it up as a real old style choppa with a real high ape hanger and a 21” thin front wheel. I spend 2 winters in fixing this bike as an everyday rolla, like shown. But truly, I guess it’s an never ending construction story. Recognized, I change now the primary into a technically better 2” BDL aluminum belt drive kit with heavy duty clutch. Same like the ratchet top 4-speed tranny. It’s just in overhauling due to the damn old shit inside! Hopefully all technical problems will be finished then for the next bike summer.
Frame is an original 1949 HD wishbone. Engine is a 74cui shovelhead with S&S crankcase and a S&S super E. The 10” shortened front end is from a FXWG shovelhead Wide-Glide with dual PM brake calipers. In the back there’s a 16” stainless wheel with a japs brake disc and the matching caliper. The 4-speed ratchet top tranny is just in overhauling and will work soon together with a black coated 2” BDL belt drive kit. Stainless exhaust pipes, seat and the back fender made by Gangsta Cycles. 3,5 gal fat bob tank is from 2009 with the 2-light dash panel. Most parts are powder coated. Tank, fender paintjob & pinstripes made by one of our Gangsta buddiez.
