Choppertown Nation - Online Community for Backyard Builders

Custom motorcycles, hot rods, skate, art, music, movies, whatever...

Post only two (2) pics and some info about your build. Good luck.

*(The best way is to post your pics using the little camera button above. Try to keep the pics 500 pixels wide so everyone can see
them easily.  If pics are too huge they may be deleted!)*

This is "Blanco Basura" (bad spanish for "white trash")

I built this bike in a small rented shop winter before last. Frame is scratchbuilt as is most everything but the tanks and rear fender. Leather work was done by myself also...first attempt at this. Over the last two summers I've logged about 4500 miles on her. The donor bike belonged to a friend who has since passed. I bought it from his widow about 6 years ago and it kicked around until I built this in four months.

My son and I had built a 300 pound frame jig and after he had built a frame for his sporty on it I saw nothing holding me back at that point and built the frame for the Honda on it....I could have posted two oics of the finished ride but thought a in progress shot might be interesting....

Cheers....

Bob
sweet 650 cb i'm sure you buddy would be proud of you 2 . it's nice to see a different style honda chop. thanks chris eccles CHOP DROP & ROLL inc , ( custom honda choppers )

Here is a Softail that I and my brother built this year. Hope it is in right category :)

Bike is built in our carage with basic tools. Frame was cleaned from all the tabs that weren't needed and we made the under seat area to look more like hardtail frame. Wheels are from -77 FX Shovel and the tank and the front end is from -95 Sportster. I had those parts already bought waiting to be mounted on future projects. Mid Controls are from Dyna and they really make the driving more comfortable. My brother covered the seat with thick leather and I painted the frame, wheels, oil tank and primary with Semi Gloss Black. We made the pipes with two 180 degrees 1-3/4" pipes and some straight pipe. Pipes have homemade mufflers inside the pipes so they are street legal also (105,4 dB and the limit is 106 dB). We shaved the fork legs with angle grinder and after that we polished the triple trees and the fork legs by hand. Tank and fender is painted by a pinstripe artist and he did a great job.

We have rode 1000 miles after the build and it has worked real fine. It was made to be ridden and with "high" pipes and mid controls you can really lean on fast curves.

bike started with a free motor from ol'heck, had dave huntress bent me up a frame with a single loop down tube with a 4" stretch, used stock front end just shaved the legs and cleaned up trees then powdercoated and installed new bearings, for the wheels i used stock hubs just powdercoated and laced up to an 18 rear and a 23 up front, did my fab work up at carl bozicks place in coulterville, he did the gas tank its off an old suzuki he had laying around, we also designed and fabbed the electrical box, bars, rear fender is off a hondamatic front, exhaust, pegs, sissy bar, brake brackets. biltwell seat hinge, 650central brake parts, antonio helped with electrical. seat from dave at rumbleco in oakdale. done and ready for the next build

that's a sweetheart....good job!

Here is my first fresh build . did everything myself except the powder coating.
Batterybox and ignition switch are home made and so is the frame.
so this one is done and it rides like hell!!
built around a replica bow-leg rigid frame over '09 with huge amounts of help from 'ebay' :-)
